- this is the opening line of Band Aid - the common platform where, years ago,  world musicians got together to show solidarity towards & generate money for the famine hit people worldwide.

The world looks on and makes the right noises as the Chinese suppress the
Tibetans..yet again.

and we go on with out lives as nothing has happened.

living with our same small hopes and fears,

living our dreams and dreading our tears,

When in the nearby land of Tibet,

a race of humans so gentle & dignified,

are oppressed by the Chinese,

for whom territory is more important than lives,

for whom land holds more value than hearts,

but in that land which the Chinese occupy, the Tibetan hearts burn & die,

and with every (Tibetan) death caused , whether mortal or the death of a
Tibetan heart,  

the chinese race will have to pay according to the divine law,

for as you sow, so shall you reap,

and the chinese are sowing grief and pain and watering it with blood,

and the harvest shall be like,

for when you plant a mango, you get a mango tree,

and when you plant grief and pain, you reap likewise,

so lets all connect with the light in our hearts,

which is the light which illumines the chinese, Tibetans and all other human
hearts,

and pray with all our might,

to our Lord to save the Tibetan land and the Chinese mind,

lets pray that the Tibetans get back their land,

and the chinese reap a lighter harvest
